A nationally recognized trial defense law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation support, preferably in medical malpractice or healthcare law. This role involves working closely with attorneys to manage case files, coordinate schedules, and ensure smooth case preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars and schedule court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
- Draft and send legal correspondence, motions, and notices.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, firm personnel, and the courts.
- Create and manage case files, records, and related documentation.
- Track billing hours and assist with case preparation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in litigation defense.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court systems, and terminology.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, billing software, and online document management tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong communication and time management abilities.
