Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage complex insurance defense liability litigation cases
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and activities to promote growth and collaboration
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar
- 10+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on insurance defense liability litigation
- Strong litigation skills, including experience managing complex cases from inception to resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
