Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of legal experience, particularly in insurance defense, and possess strong skills in summarizing medical records, billing records, claims files, and other relevant documentation. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in issuing subpoenas and filing court documents with state and federal courts.

Responsibilities:

• Summarize medical records, billing records, claims files, and other pertinent documentation.
• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
• Coordinate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Issue subpoenas and ensure timely compliance with legal requirements.
• File court documents with state and federal courts, adhering to all procedural guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience working as a paralegal, with a focus on insurance defense.
• Proficiency in summarizing medical records, billing records, claims files, etc.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
• Experience issuing subpoenas and filing court documents with state and federal courts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
